Students will be trained to provide medical assessments and diagnostic evaluations for infants, children and adolescents. An education in paediatrics opens doors to many different careers, including jobs as an advocate for children's health. School programs include the study of child development, healthy living, social and emotional issues, genetics, nutrition and medical conditions. Students also learn about community health problems and how to prevent them. Much of the education takes place in a lab or simulation centre where students can practice applying their skills to real-life patients under the supervision of experienced faculty members. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that paediatricians are the leading source of children's health information and advice, but also says many parents don't seek pediatric care when their kids need it. But what if parents could have peace of mind that their child's doctor sees patients until they are 21? Well, now they can, with a new program called Power21. Power21 is a virtual network of the country's best pediatric paediatricians to see you past that 2-year milestone--no matter your speciality or in Power21 are accepting patients through age 21.

PhD Pediatric courses offer you a route into medical school through our accelerated 4-year degree programme. This has been designed with the needs of the NHS in mind, so you'll be able to complete your 5-year course in medicine more quickly than on traditional 5-year approaches. After your initial two years, you'll undertake a further three years of specialist training in hospital departments relevant to your chosen area of medicine. Courses in medical school will take you from an excellent-med student to a doctor. During the first two years, you'll acquire essential knowledge and master medical science. You'll do this alongside basic clinical skills and professional values training and receive continuous support from experienced staff. The third year of the degree is when you choose an area to specialise in, and we match you to one of our partner hospitals for your clinical attachments. All our clients are carefully monitored at all stages, leading to robust data showing that 95% of our graduates who complete the program gain entry into training or employment.

Students seeking admission to the Medicine program must complete the application process by February 1st, which includes a personal statement and letters of reference (minimum of two). In addition, applicants should have achieved at least 50% in Chemistry, Physics, Biology and English (taken together) from a recognised board. The entrance exam is held in March and successful candidates will be offered conditional acceptance into the program based on their performance in this exam as well as their academic record. The final round will be an interview for those who have performed well in both exams.
