To be considered for a traineeship, candidates must meet the entrance test and all other selection criteria. The committee will choose from among these candidates in deciding who gets a place on the traineeship scheme. Level I training includes Echocardiography, Electrocardiography and essential cardiac catheterisation and is sufficient for pediatric cardiologists and pediatric intensivists and adult cardiologists interested in caring for ill patients. Level II includes practising independently as the primary consultant for pediatric cardiac diagnosis and treatment; trainees must complete a two-year postgraduate fellowship in cardiology with an approved program. Level III training allows you to gain the skills required to work on patients experiencing cardiopulmonary arrest or pediatric emergencies that require advanced interventions.

To be considered, candidates must have a degree M.D.in Paediatrics from this Institute of any other University or equivalent degree recognised by the MCI.
