A Pain Medicine Specialist is a physician with professional qualifications who undertakes the complete evaluation and control of acute, continual and most cancers pains in people specifically pediatric patients, generally operating inside a multidisciplinary team. Most Pain Medicine Specialists are health center based, though a few working as professionals within the network or among different fitness care set-ups.

DM examination-  For admission into the course, a minimum score of 50% must be achieved by the general candidates and 40% for those who are under the SC, OBC or ST category.  In the case of the non-governmental establishments also, authority  can refill 1/2 of its seats and the Institution's control has to fill the alternative 1/2 of the same .
