Community Medicine is a division of medical science that concerns the research of difficulties of the community as a whole preferably on a personal level. The Community medicine department guides the students in science and encourages healthy and judicious performance through an established community endeavour. The purpose of the department is to enable medical students to operate as community and primary care experts. MD community medicine is a 3-year full-time course whose qualification criterion is that students should pass MBBS or its equal degree from an institution accepted by the Medical Council of India along with completing a one-year mandatory internship. Some premier institutes also conduct entrance examinations for the same. Students interested in operating directly with subjects can become practitioners of osteopathic medicine.
